Almost all chronic liver diseases lead to fibrosis, resulting in downstream complications such as cirrhosis and liver failure. Consequently, therapeutic strategies often prioritize mitigating or reversing fibrotic processes.

However, the absence of effective non-invasive in vivo tools for monitoring liver disease progression has significantly hindered therapeutic development.

This case study utilizes non-invasive ultrasound imaging to visualize and quantify liver echogenicity and stiffness, providing critical insights into both disease progression and the efficacy of therapeutic interventions in mouse models.
