4D pharma (formerly known as Schosween 18) is a pharmaceutical company focusing on research and development of a new class of medicines known as live biotherapeutics. The company developed a proprietary platform that utilizes bacterial functionality for the prevention and treatment of a large number of diseases including cancer, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory disease and central nervous system (CNS) disease. Its products are orally delivered, single strains of bacteria that are naturally found in the healthy human gut.
